Calamba

A train station near Calamba Trade Center. The train leaves at exactly 4:48 A. M. Northbound once a day. This is I think the most affordable way to commute but of course expect the crowd on the next stations. It won't be comfortable, so better to set aside the idea of bringing your kids or babies at all. The stops are the following: Mamatid, Cabuyao, Sta. Rosa, Biñan, Golden City, Pacita, San Pedro, Muntinlupa, Alabang, Sucat, Bicutan, FTI, Nichols, Edsa, Pasay Road, Buendia, Vito Cruz, San Andres, Paco, Pandacan, Sta. As of February 2017, the railway runs only north of Calamba. The south from here is currently suspended. From Manila (Tutuban) to Calamba, only one round trip a day. Alabang leaves every 30 minutes to 1 hour. 2020/02/10 postscript According to the PNR homepage, the operation has been restarted from Calamba to Los Baños and IRRI. There are several temporary stations, with stops at Calamba, Pansol, Masili, Los Baños, College, International Rice Research Institute (IRRI).
