Green Hills Memorial Chapels

One of the oldest funeral or memorial chapels in Cagayan de oro. It's basically an institution.

This funeral home has been memorable to me. Lots of my family and friends had their wake here for decades as long as i can remember. My recent visit was a week ago. My mama passed away. This used to be a nice and KINDA clean. But this time its deteriorating. Greenhills need to do some renovation. Maintain cleanliness and get rid of some cub webs over ceiling. At least mop floors daily. I used to see their staff sweeping but not anymore. Security guard always on his cellphone. If not conversing with kids who are outsiders. Outsiders playing and loitering at the entrance. Yelling while we were praying. Ac. Unit weren't functioning. We had to move next room. Cockroach es crawling in the backroom. Too bad i didnt take a photo to prove.

One of the most beautiful and scenic memorial parks I have been to, this place offers a good view of the mountains of Misamis Oriental and a portion of the city down below. Joggers and cyclists can enjoy the cemented walks on any day while taking in the cool mountain breeze. Even during the heat of summer, the green lawns are very well maintained. If you want to visit your departed or just stay here for some peace and quiet, best time is in the afternoon when the sun is less harsh.

A solemn place, a good place to meditate together wirh your loveonce who is rest in peace. The chapel is nice with clean modern comfort rooms for men and women. My relatives buried in this area. With affordable products. It is also safe place to all visitors. Security Guards are always visible in this area.
