The peak was nice, despite it having less trees to hide from the scorching sun. There are 2 routes to reach the top. If you'd like a little challenge, I'd recommend going through the "newly found" route to the top which will lead to a hill with very beautiful scenery. And if you just want to reach the top asap, just follow the old trail, will just take about 30 minutes, depending on the pace.

Danao Peak or locals call it Manghilao. This is the highest in the municipality of Danao. Going to the foot of this mountain takes just roughly about 15 minutes motor bike ride from the heart of the city. Spare 20 minutes more to sweat it out and reach the summit. A popular destination for pilgrims due to a huge cross mounted at the peak of this mountain, about 20ft tall and some candelabra for lighting up candles during prayers. But for some, this can be a good destination for short outdoor recreation. The view at the top is breathtaking, down below are lush green vegetations. Further view to the east you can see the city landscape and the Camotes sea.
