This review is for the Paliton Wall and Marine Sanctuary, not the beach. Fantastic mild drift diving with a wonderful vibrant wall. Excellent coral cover and turtle health, totally on par with Apo Island but without the long travel and expense. We went diving with Sea Pearl Divers and as dive professionals, we were very happy with them and the dive sites. If you're diving San Juan, make sure you get over here.

A few corals covered in seaweed and a handful of small fish. When we got there we saw a boat fishing in the sanctuary which wasn't a good sign. Fee has gone up to 100 peso per person but not worth it, could see the same thing getting into literally any stretch of water in the Philippines and save yourself some money. All that being said the stretch of water between the beach and the marine sanctuary had loads of upside down jellyfish on the bottom in the sea grass which was super cool to see. Assume you can snorkel that bit for free.

Few people, sanctuary is a couple of hundred metres out from the beach. Nice corals and fish

The beach is nice and quiet. Had to swim a couple of hundred meters to get to the coral part. Advice for snorkeling would be to hire a boat at 300 pesos per person or go to Coco Grove. 50 pesos sanctuary fee
