Beware : you are now forced to pay 300 php per person to go to the falls.
Il you try to go on your own, they put a bamboo barrier on the Way to block you.
The walk was nice, but the water very polluted, you could see dead fishes everywhere, and at one part water looked really bad
We were given a silly price for a guide and said we would prefer to walk in ourselves (2 adults+8&4 year old) they said impossible so we got on bikes to drive away at which point they said 50 peso for each bike to park and 20 peso each adult to go in.
We were warned about many crossings and paths repeatedly. 40 minutes later we were at the first waterfall where you can swim. A rope hangs down that helps you climb up to second waterfall that much bigger but cannot swim in.
If you enjoy hiking, do it.
If not then it not for you.
This was a nice enough waterfall and it was good to jump in the water and cool off after the walk to get there but we felt like the guide was just trying to rip us off. 300PHP each plus the 10PHP to cross somebody's land only to be told that if we wanted to see the second waterfall, we had to pay an extra 200PHP each to be taken there. The guide tried to tell us this was a good deal as other guides charge 500PHP per person for the second one. We declined. I don't mind using a guide if people are employed but they shouldn't rip people off. She was in such a rush to get there and back we barely had a chance to appreciate the scenery.
I love hiking and I love waterfalls!
This is not really a must visit area because there's nothing to see there aside from trees, fish and carabao in the river and the waterfalls itself. BUT if you want to cool down, dipping in the waterfalls is really great. So refreshing!
It was just an easy hike going to the top but they required us to have a guide who asked for Php 300.00 as payment for the tour afterwards. I was shocked because she didn't even talk to my foreigner friend and she let me translate everything she said because she was shy to speak in English. Glad I was able to haggle at Php 150.00.
