The Port of Hilongos, one of the main gateways to Leyte, feels good, although not that great. There should have been tighter security upon entering the terminal, say, x-ray machines, just like in larger ports, and as in airports. But, despite its small size, the port still handles passengers coming in and out very well. The terminal as well as its surroundings are clean.

Hilongos is the gateway to eastern visayas with ships and roro vessels coming from central visayas especially from cebu city docking in Hilongos port.
