Attention!!! Some of the photos refer to the active shelter at ul. Konstantynowska 98! Which I heartily recommend it to everyone!

At ul. Konstantynowska 98 (DW 710) in Łódź, in a small forest there is an anti-aircraft bunker (about 180 m2 of underground space). It was created together with the neighboring building in 1937 for the needs of the Polish Army of the Second Polish Republic. It was probably built by prisoners from the Heavy Prison in Sikawa (ul. Beskidzka 54). During World War II, the building was occupied by the Gestapo. After its completion, it became a place of execution for people detained by the NKVD (they were shot in a nearby forest, and their bodies were buried near the bunker or at a nearby training ground). The bunker, unlike the building that currently houses flats, fell into oblivion for years ... stolen by scrap metal, a place of encounters of people of all sorts ... Thanks to the Lodz Association of Military Lovers "Kompanja Brus" the historic bunker has "come alive" again and it houses the Museum. Let Kompanja Brus tell her about the Association's activities, their passions and various curiosities.

If there is (was) an air raid shelter, it can not be seen from the street or has been buried. In this place is an ordinary house and yard.
