Kościół pw. Opieki św. Józefa i Matki Bożej z Góry Karmel

The Parish of the Protection of Saint Joseph and Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Łódź is located in Radogoszcz. If I understand correctly, the parish belongs to the Discalced Carmelite Order. The church is located quite far from the city center, but can be reached by lines 11 or 1. I did not notice a parking lot next to the church, but there is no problem to park in the area. The construction of the church began in 1933, and was erected in 1974. In the presbytery apse, in its central part, there is a figure representing St. Joseph, who is holding - offering to those who come - the Baby Jesus in his hands, in the side parts of the mosaic we meet the figures: St. Teresa of Jesus - the mother of the Reformed Carmel - a sixteenth-century mystic, thanks to whom the cult of St. Joseph began its renaissance in the Carmelite Order and the universal Church; st. Raphael of St. Józef (Kalinowski), the restorer of the Discalced Carmelite Order in Poland at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and St. John Paul II seated on the papal throne and holding in his hands the Apostolic Exhortation "Redemptoris Custos", which in its content presents the figure, mission and spirituality of St. Joseph. In the side altar there is a sculpture of Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Scapular) with a beautiful and faithful copy of the miraculous statue on Mount Carmel in Palestine.
