Very friendly clerks. Thank you for your help and I wish that in all state offices in Poland there would be such a climate and employee involvement as here at the Civil Registry Office in Zgierz.

The palace is located at ul. 1 Maja 5 in Zgierz, it was built in the late nineteenth century in the neoclassical style. It was the former property of the wealthy Zachert family, belonging to the village of Zegrzany. The next owner was the Polish entrepreneur Ksawery Pniewski, husband of one of the daughters of Zachert. He owned a wool dyeing plant on the Bzura River. After the end of World War II, as the seat of the municipal committee of the PZPR. Since the 1970s, after renovation, it has served the residents of Zgierz and the surrounding area as the Wedding Palace (Registry Office). Currently, the palace is after renovation of the facade, carried out in the summer of 2007. An architectural curiosity of the palace's interior are stairs leading to the first floor. Unlike (I think) everyone in the world is turning right instead of left!
