City Hall - the current seat of the Town and Commune Office and the Poviat Eldership was built in 1909 at the intersection of Dworcowa and Powstańców Śląskich Streets as the Poviat States Office. The building had numerous offices, an apartment for the starosta with a balcony (the office of the starosta was then held by Carlo von Deins in 1902-1922), a small and large meeting room. The latter was decorated with lead-framed stained-glass windows that have survived to this day, with scenes: the work of harvesters, woodcutters in front of the church of St. Anna, with the motif of the coat of arms of the poviat, Olesno and Gorzów. Until 1909, the old eldership was located in a building from the mid-19th century at the then Schönwalder Strasse, now Kościuszki.
