Brzozowice-Kamień district of Piekary Śląskie ... It is here, on the hill near the intersection of Maria Skłodowska Street, Curie and Jana Brzechwy St. John of Nepomuk. On the pedestal, 1817 is written in Roman numerals. It should therefore be assumed that this is the year of the creation of the statue. In Upper Silesia this saint is known as Jonek. It is supposed to protect against all kinds of cataclysms, and floods at the same time. The Brynica River flows nearby. There is also a single bunker nearby. During the earthworks, a collective grave with 44 people was discovered. They died supposedly during the plague. Currently, the figure is in terrible condition and requires immediate renovation.

The choleric tomb of the nineteenth century. The top of the mound is decorated with the sculpture of the famous Czech saint. It hurts me that many local residents do not remember about the victims of the plague buried there, and even talks to me when I go there for a short prayer for the souls of the dead, or collect trash lying there. Dear Inhabitants, please remember these dead people. It could have been your ancestors.
