Kaplica Najświętszego Serca Pana Jezusa (Aniołów Stróżów)

The temple is baroque style highlighting the white decoration of the nerves of the arches of the central nave as if it were a cover to leave the rest in gleaming gold. The basilica is not very big but it was overflowing because we arrived in the middle of the evening mass, so we joined her. Then we pass through a side door in the left nave (the one of the Gospel) that was open towards the “Kaplica Cudownego Obrazu Czarnej Madonny Matki Bożej Częstochowskiej”, which as you all know Polish means Chapel of the Miraculous Image of the Black Virgin of Our Lady from Częstochowa. There were also many faithful on the benches and standing praying and singing psalms in Polish. We did not know what to do because we wanted to get closer to the image, besides Antonio knew that there was a walk around this chapel but we did not agree until Montse finally saw it. We stood in line to get into the ambulatory on the tour that passes just behind where the image is located, as in Santiago de Compostela when the pilgrims pass behind and embrace the Apostle. There is no hug here because there is no round bulge figure but a picture on a table in Byzantine style attributed to the evangelist Saint Luke, all decorated with a very bright silver frame. Some were on their knees but they took their cell phone from their pocket to take a picture, others were standing, and I noticed that it was forbidden to take photos with flash. So I disconnected the flash from my phone to portray it, and then with my Nikon I did the same, especially since it has no flash and is prepared for low-light scenes. The details of the face of the Black Virgin were not well appreciated because there was a prudential distance to which they allowed us to approach, and indeed, the face is so dark that I did not see it well with my eyes. I hope the photos come out better. In the turn around on the other side I also used my photographic arts to get some good images, or so I hope. We returned to the basilica to see it again but empty after mass. We appreciate its baroque beauty, we went up some stairs that we don't know where they were going because we looked at the clock and we realized that we had to go out as soon as possible to be at the bus stop at the agreed time.
