A beautiful historic church, very well-kept with a clergyman who does a lot of good for the local community and educates young people beautifully.

No words very beautiful church

In the church on the left there is a beautiful, very old Icon of the Mother of God Sign from the 16th century (of unknown origin) and next to the Icon of the Supraska Mother of God from the 18th century.

On December 19, 2015, the Orthodox Church honors the memory of Saint. Nicholas of Archbishop Myr in Lycia. Holy Saint Nicholas Miracle-worker was born at the end of the third century (during the reign of Emperor Valerian) in the coastal city of Patra in Asia Minor. His uncle, patrick's bishop Nicholas, seeing the piety of the young man began to prepare him for priestly service. Under the direction of a noble relative, young Nicholas studied general and theological knowledge. His uncle consecrated him to the psalmist, and shortly thereafter (when Nicholas reached the age of majority) for a presbyter. His journey to the provincial capital coincided with the death of Archbishop Jan. There was a stalemate in Myrach - there was no consensus as to who would be the heir to the deceased shepherd. It was decided that the new bishop would be the first to enter the temple the next day. Saint Nicholas did not know anything about the settlements in Myra, only at night he reached the city. In the morning, as usual, he went to the church to pray. It turned out that he was the first person who crossed the threshold of the House of God that day. Following the request of the inhabitants, the priest received the episcopal ordination and became the superior of the Myr church in Lycia. Saint Nicholas survived 65 years. He died after a short-term illness on December 6 - between 345 and 352 (the exact year of the Archbishop's death is difficult to determine today). The body of the Lycian hierarchy rested in the underground crypt of the cathedral church in Myrach. His relics are in Bari, Italy. They were moved there from Myr Licyjskie. He is one of the most venerated saints in the Orthodox Church. He is the patron of, among others travelers as well as brides wanting to get married.

The church was built in the years 1870–1872. The building was consecrated on June 6, 1872 by the dean of Białystok, Jan Sitkiewicz. After the work on the sacred object was completed, the finished temple was surrounded by a new fence, new icons and a mantle were purchased for it. There were also two bells in the church, weighing 14 and 34 poods, which were lost during the running, hidden in an unknown place by parishioners fleeing east
