Krynoczka-Miednoje is one of the 7 Krynice area of ​​the Białowieża Forest known since the time of the first Christians. The source has healing power as evidenced by the facts of the past and present. The name of the source refers to the color of the water from the "miednyj" spring in eastern dialects means rusty. The first written information about healing properties is contained in the accounts of travelers. In 1831, a special tsar commission, after examining the composition of the water and ascertaining the presence of large amounts of iron and sulfur, prepared a project to build a therapeutic sanatorium. In 1846 a church was erected instead of a health resort.
