Holy Expedition, Latin. Expeditus - Christian martyr and saint of the Catholic Church. It is not known in which period he lived, and where and when he died martyred. He is mentioned in the Roman Martyrology and Breviarium Syriacum on April 19 as a martyr. Some sources claim Melitene as the place of death. In the regions of the world where he is mentioned, he occurs in a more or less numerous group of martyrs. The legendary figure is identified with Saint Meneas or Elpidiusz. He is made a patron of urgent matters and worshiped in a superstitious manner, which was met with critical ordinances of the Holy See. In iconography he is depicted as the leader of a military legion, or trampling a raven. One of the legends says that on the day he decided to convert to Christianity, the devil appeared in the form of a raven, urging him to postpone the implementation of his order to the next day.
