On the main road, ie Opolska Street in Strzelce Opolskie, on the parish cemetery, there is a nice wooden church of St. Barbara. It occupies a special place among the sacred monuments of the city and the Opole region, since it dates back to 1505. Saint Barbara was very popular in the Middle Ages and she was greatly venerated as a patron of miners, but also as an advocate at the hour of death. In the seventeenth century, the church of Saint. Barbara in Strzelce completely declined, but in 1683-90 the church was rebuilt. Above the nave of the temple there is a turret for a signature in the Baroque style, with a lantern and a spherical cupola. The roof covers the shingle. The music choir is wooden and the organs are dated to the turn of the 17th and 18th centuries. The pulpit is built in late-Renaissance style and dates from the beginning of the 17th century. A wooden cross hangs above the main beam, as was the case in medieval churches. Wooden church Saint. Barbara does not have a belfry.

Everyone in Strzelce associates it with the funeral of a loved one. However, he is one of the images of our city. It needs renovation for years.
