A historic palace, nicely restored, now the seat of the Commune Office
The first mention of the village of "Raczonoviczi" comes from 1252, when prince Bolesław I granted it to a certain Raczon, who made a difference in recovering Zbąszyń and Drzeń from the Germans. By the way, the prince freed the village from various burdens and fees. In 1334, a certain Jakub wrote from R. the village was then written under the name Rakonyewicze. In 1422, part of R. belonged to Abraham of Kiełowo, who in the same year concluded an agreement with Dobrogost from the village of Jeziory and the mayor in Kiebłów. At the beginning. In the sixteenth century, the Ossowscy came here, who changed into part of R. with Jan Nostwicz de Herczywalth (?). In 1518, as a result of the family divisions of Rakoniewice and Rzymszyno, Andrzej Ossowski was granted. It is worth adding that the Ossowscy wrote from Osowa Sienia and were also heirs of Wilków Polski, Kotusz, Śniatów, Dębowa Łęka and others. In 1580, Rakoniewice was a separate parish with 9 settled fiefs, 1 empty, 9 homesteads, 3 bailiffs, 1 craftsman and 25 sheep. At that time, there was already a Catholic church under the invocation of Saint Martin, who during the reign of Sigismund Augustus passed into the hands of dissenters, and after about 30 years returned to Catholics. At the end of the 17th century, the church fell into complete ruin, and a statue of St. John. At the beginning. In the 17th century, the heir of R. was Stanisław Ossowski and then his son Jakub (Wojciech's brother). Jakub married Anna Strzelecka, with whom he had a daughter, Barbara. She married Krzysztof Grzymułtowski, Nieczuja coat of arms, to whom Rakoniewice brought him in prison. On February 24, 1662, heir Krzysztof Grzymułtowski, Nieczuja coat of arms was granted the right to found the town of Freystat (Freysztadt, etc ...) under German law at the village of Rakoniewice. In the same year, he built a Protestant church and a German school for the settlers. The privilege granted the settlers weekly markets and 5 fairs a year (later as many as 9). The city was given the coat of arms of Nieczuja (variety) - in a blue field a tree trunk with five knots, pierced diagonally with a sword. The city was inhabited in part by newcomers from distant countries, incl. from Scotland. Late Classicist palace. The building was erected on a rectangular plan, NEzN-SWzS in the longer axis, with the facade facing the NWzW (north-west with a slight west deviation), two-storey with a mezzanine, basement and covered with a flat roof covered with tar paper. In the façade, a slight break, topped with a triangular pediment, is placed centrally. The entrance is preceded by a small order 4-column portico, carrying a balcony at the height of the 1st floor. The three axes of this breakthrough are high doors and two windows on the sides, closed at the top with arches.
In the gable walls of the building there are two central octagonal towers with staircases. The towers are also a link with two lower (without mezzanine) wings attached to the main body, retracted in a stack. to it in the south-east direction. In the garden façade, the avant-corps is preceded by a terrace accessed by wide stairs. Park from the 18th / 19th century with an area of 11.38 ha. The park in Rakoniewice has been divided into two land plots: no. ... 193/21 with the area of 10.1883 ha and no ... 191/3 with an area of 1.1876 ha (Geoportal, 03/30/2018). On the larger of them there is a picturesque pond with an island in the middle. The park's old trees are represented by about 30 species of trees and shrubs, including the less common Douglas firs, thuja, marsh oak, white pine, marsh cypress, red horse chestnut, etc. Among the traditional varieties there are English oaks, some of which are monuments of nature. In addition, there are hornbeam and linden alleys leading to the palace in the park.
Always friendly service and help in solving the necessary issues. Thanks for that, keep it up
