The construction of the church in Wysokie Koło was started in 1637 by the castellan of Sandomierz, Stanisław Witkowski, the owner of Regów, Wysokie Koło and Boguszówka, and was continued by the Crown Chancellor Jan Wielkopolski, who also founded a monastery for the Order of St. Dominic, which he brought from Lublin in 1682. The church was consecrated in 1694 bishop Stanisław Szembek from Krakow. After the dissolution of the Domican order in 1870, the Russian government placed a group of Franciscan Reformers from Jędrzejów in the High Circle of the Franciscan Reformers. From 1891, the church in Wysokie Koło serves as a parish church. During two wars it was badly damaged, rebuilt and classified as an architectural monument in the Italian Renaissance style
