Being in this part of eastern Poland, you must visit the Museum in Romanów. The manor house in which the museum is located is in very good condition, equipped with period items and interesting props related to Kraszewski. There are no crowds of visitors here, and I was the only person in the museum in the morning and I was shown around by a nice lady guide. There is an impressive park around the manor, where you can relax.

It has its own atmosphere, an interesting place for a Sunday walk and a bit of peace

Well kept manor house. Outside area clean and tidy. I miss a bit of life, that is flowers, colors. Therefore 4 stars. Nevertheless, it is definitely worth a look, as for an earthly estate it is quite impressive and really well guarded. A walk on hot days is pleasant because the old trees give a lot of pleasant shade. I encourage you to visit this place and taste the peace, tranquility and closeness of the past times of this place.

A beautifully restored place, you'll meet here Kraszewski who sat on a park bench amongst mature-aged spruces. Beautiful spruce and hornbeam avenues encourage walking. The museum is full of souvenirs of the writer and his family. I am delighted with his person. We associate Kraszewski primarily as a writer, it turns out that he not only wrote but also composed and painted. We were greeted by the wonderful Mrs. Jadzia - a local guide who passionately gave us knowledge about Kraszewski and his family. Nearby there is a chapel in the park with a wonderful image, a path leading to it with a meticulously restored bridge. If you want to rest after the hardships of travel, you can change on a park bench or in a special clearing where the yellow eyes of stoctotos look at us in the grass, there is also the possibility of falling out of the bonfire and roasting sausages by prior arrangement. Don't forget to ask about the sundial here :)

A charming museum of an underrated Polish writer. Some say - unsuccessful. A place with a great history, completely out of the way, with good guides who make a difficult effort to tell about a man and people from before the era of smartphones and likes. For this - a plus. A small minus for the fact that the museum has not changed completely for years. An interesting park, a bench with a writer. Worth a visit.
