The construction of the current temple began in 1913, thanks to the efforts of Wiktor Walkiewicz, son of the last organist, before the parish was canceled. Construction works were interrupted by World War I in 1914-1918. Shortly after the withdrawal of German troops, priest Mikołaj Ikonowicz began to hold services in the newly built church. The unfinished building suffered once again on August 1-7, 1920, when the Polish army tried to stop the march of Soviet troops going to Warsaw. After the war, Konstanty L. Cegielski, a priest in Mielnik, finished the temple and arranged its interior after the war. In 1940, the village was in the border zone, and therefore the temple was turned into a canteen for Soviet soldiers. All its equipment was destroyed then. During the German-Soviet war in 1941 and 1944, the building was shelled with artillery shells, which destroyed the porch and damaged the walls and roof. The temple underwent general renovation only in 1971-1972; 1982-1985 and 1998-2000.
