It was originally built, probably in 1814, in the Borowiska forest resort and only after many years it was moved to the present place. A cemetery was erected next to the church. The oldest gravestones date from the 1870s. The building was covered with shingle, which during the renovation in the 1960s was turned into a sheet. In order to reach the church, it is necessary to leave the main road into the forest behind the village.

The temple was erected in the years 1814-1816 on a rectangular plan, within the old cemetery in the Borowiska forest. It was moved to its present place in 1862.
