From the outside it seems to be a bit run down, but inside it is really nice and well maintained. The church is small.

The parish in Wiżajny was established in 1571. The first church was wooden. In 1825, the temple was consumed by a fire. The present temple was built in 1825 in the classical style. Inside there is a historic painting and a sculpture of the crucified Jesus Christ from the 19th century, a gilded baroque chalice, a baptismal font from 1846 and the main altar from the mid-18th century. There is a wooden belfry from 1862 by the church.
