In Witnica in the inter-war period, apart from the local population of the German Evangelical denomination, there was also a small group of Polish employees of local factories. It was for this group that the church was erected in 1930. The priests from Gorzów Wielkopolski or Dębno came to him and they celebrated masses in the Roman Catholic rite. From May 15, 1947, this small Modernist temple as the church of the Holy Cross is a branch of the parish of the Perpetual Help in Witnica. The current appearance owes to the renovation carried out in 1997 - 99.
