Large, spacious, cool in summer, thick walls in winter give off some heat .. 😀 😎

A nice, well-kept building.

It is a temple built in the first half of the 13th century, or earlier in the Gothic style. Already in 1300 there is mention of priest Jan. In 1337, the parish priest Stefan Aleksandrowicz, a canon of Kraków, bought an altar for the temple. In 1603, the interior of the temple was destroyed by fire, but in the following years it was rebuilt, in 1630 a new crypt was built. In 1659, in the fire of Bierutów, the interior of the temple was burned down again, part of the vaults as well as the tower and roof gable collapsed. The reconstruction began in 1661 thanks to financial resources from Prince Sylwiusz Nimrod of Württemberg. In 1765, another fire destroyed the top of the tower and bells; after the reconstruction, the tower received a mansard roof, while in 1821 the organs were renovated. In 1934, SAUER from Frankfurt (Oder) performed a new 44-voice organ with opus number 1498. It was a concert instrument consisting of four sections, each with 11 voices. It was built into the existing baroque wardrobe consisting of a main instrument and a positive suspended in the choir's gallery. He was the pride of the church and the whole of Bierutów, of which the Bierutians were very proud. Unfortunately, in mysterious circumstances it was dismantled and taken to Inowrocław in 1949, where in a not very happy way, giving it a completely different look, it was assembled in the church of St. Nicholas.
