Filial church of the Lubicz parish. Built in the 14th / 15th century. A half-timbered tower was added in the 18th century. Further reconstructions underwent in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries giving it a neo-Roman style. Historical building - Reg. No. A-160 from 19.01.2004.

In the Middle Ages, the settlement lying on the site of today's village of Babinek belonged to the Templars and was probably founded by them. The first church - without a tower - was built in the center of the village at the turn of the 13th and 14th centuries. The half-timbered tower was added only in the 18th century. At the beginning of the 20th century, the monument burned down completely. The temple was rebuilt from scratch in the Neo-Roman style on a stone foundation. The tower has also gained a new look. It is worth seeing the interior of the church, where Neo-Roman furnishings predominate, while the decor is baroque. Noteworthy are the stained glass windows from the beginning of the 20th century and the stone tombstones of the von Lenke family - the former owners of Babinek. At present, the church tower is being renovated, and some of the plaster was removed from the walls, revealing their stone appearance. The church square where the cemetery is located is surrounded by a stone and brick wall.

I would recommend. Worth a visit. A place for the whole family not only on Sundays.

The building from the fourteenth century. The tower certainly has a half-timbered structure, possible from the turn of the eighteenth / nineteenth century. Certainly rebuilt in subsequent years, the neo-Roman style. Interestingly, the Babinek settlement belonged to the Templars.
