The church was built in the years 1851-1856 in the place of the previous, wooden one. It is mainly made of field stone. In 1930 the church was enlarged and a new main altar was built. Archbishop Romuald Jałbrzykowski, during the visit to the parish on May 19, 1931, consecrated the altar and the church.
