The Volunteer Fire Brigade in Trzepnica was founded in 1917 under the name of the Volunteer Fire Brigade Society on the initiative of Marcin Sobczyk, Ludwik Gala, Stanisław Stępień, and Marcin Purzyński. Count Jerzy Skarbek, the owner of the Trzepnica-Bęczkowice-Jelica estate, was elected the first president. A plot of 6100 sq m for the needs of the guard was bought from Countess Stefania Skarbek, October 15, 1927 for PLN 400. The first fire station was built in 1918. It was a wooden garage with a one-room room in which the school was located. In 1935 another brick guard building was commissioned for own purposes and 2 rooms for the school. Further extensions were in 1967, a garage for a fighting car and a tower was built, and in 1988-1994 a room was added for meetings of residents. The guard rooms in various years housed a school, the commune national council, a shop, a health center, a post office, the Press and Ksiazki Ruch club. Guard equipment also changed: a horse cart, 2 carts with rubber wheels, a Star 20 car, 66,244 and from 2016 an Iveco Euro Cargo car. In July 2005, the Volunteer Fire Brigade in Trzepnica was included in the National Fire and Rescue System. Since 1927, it has had a banner, which during the war was hidden by the Wośków family and in 2007 underwent a thorough renovation. In 2017, the 100th anniversary of the uprising was solemnly celebrated. The fighting vehicle in honor of the first president and his brave daughter received the name SKARBEK.
