The village of Stary Gostków is located in the Łódź Province, at the 703 road from Łęczyca to Poddębice. The first written mention of this village dates from 1391 and the first owners were Gostkowski. The village has a palace complex with two classicist outbuildings and a park. The palace is the main element of this team. It was built in the neoclassical style in 1802, and was until 1939 owned by the Skrzyński family. It is a one-story building, basement, with a magnificent Ionic portico with 4 columns. On the frieze there is an inscription: "Superanda omnis fortuna ferenda est" (Be able to accept the fate). The interior is decorated with polychrome from 1809-1812 and wooden floors. Currently, the palace is the seat of the Wartkowice Commune Office. - The village Stary Gostków is located in the Łódź Province, at 703 road from Łęczyca to Poddębice. A neoclassical palace from 1802, designed by Hilary Szpilowski, built for the owner of the estate, Bogumił Załuski. In the second half of the 19th century it became the property of the Skrzyński family, the Zaremba coat of arms. After the war, the palace was used by a production cooperative. Currently, the palace houses the Wartkowice Commune Office. The palace is surrounded by a park adjacent to the Ner River.
