Historic parish church
Although tiny, it still remains
available to the faithful. I don't remember the interior because my father used to take me there as a child. He was an organist
in this parish. A sentimental return to childhood.
On the trail of wooden churches of the Kluczbork poviat
The first church in Biskupice was built around 1567, and in 1588 it was destroyed. The present one was built in 1626 as an evangelical temple. The main constructor was the carpenter Hans Hase. In 1776, the tower was added. In 1784, a music choir and a gallery over the porch were made. In the hands of the Evangelists, the church remained until the end of World War II. In 1945, he was taken over by Catholics. The church was renovated in the 1930s, the nave and the presbytery were restored, ceilings, walls and a truss were strengthened. Another renovation was carried out in 1985. The walls were then covered with paneling, covering wooden beams and remains of polychrome, and a stone tombstone was removed from the presbytery.
Church on the wooden churches route of the voivodeship Opolski which should be visited and viewed. It stands right on the road, next to a small parking lot. The first wooden church was built in 1567 and was destroyed at the end of the 16th century. The current one was built in 1626. Next to the church there is a pre-grave chapel. Modest bypass, but kept clean.
