The first mention of the church in Chróścice dates back to 1566. It was a wooden temple with a shingled roof, which was a filial church of the parish in Stare Siołkowice. In 1804, due to the development of the village, the wooden building was demolished, and the then priest decided to build a new, larger, stone church. It was a one-nave building with a stone tower in which a clock was mounted. It existed until 1936. Two bells were hung in the tower in 1804: one from 1606 with a diameter of 41 cm from Siołkowice, the second from 1681, cast by Gotfryd Zygmunt Gotz from Wrocław with a frieze on its upper edge. On September 21, 1935, the parish priest, Father Piecha, together with the parish council, decided to build a new church. On February 7, 1936, the construction of a new temple was approved. The church tower was left from the previous building and the rest of the church was added to it. The tower was raised by 10 meters, new bells were hung in it and a tower clock was installed. The new temple was consecrated on October 10, 1937, by Fr. Cardinal Adolf Bertram from Wroclaw. In 2000, the conservation renovation was subjected to the so-called gloria on the main altar and frescoes on the church's vault. In 2006, the church's facade was renovated and the slate roofing of the tower was repaired.
