In its present form, the church is a single-aisle building, founded on a rectangular plan, with a transept (whose southern arm has now been adapted for the sacristy) and a tower over the porch. Inside the church, there are galleries, as well as several late-Renaissance tombstones from the 2nd half. Sixteenth century, coming from the original frame chapel, and among them commandant Andrzej Schleiben (died 1571) and his son (died 1568). Both of these plates - made of sandstone - are now in the sacristy. Many similar slabs, located in the presbytery floor and side walls, were removed from it during the renovation of the church.

The church is located in a picturesque place opposite the St. John's castle from the front facade and the reserve from the west. It stands practically next to the lake. Despite Sunday Mass after the siege should go inside. The altar, decorations, stained glass and wall paintings are impressive. The facility is in great condition today.

The church was built in 1725-1726 as a Protestant temple. In 1876 it was thoroughly rebuilt and enlarged with a tower and a transverse nave. In October 1945, the temple was transformed into a Roman Catholic church dedicated to Saint John the Baptist. The church is located near the Łagów lake, an old Roman Catholic church. There is a beautiful beech park in the vicinity.
