The bell has already returned from Magdeburg a few years ago, probably in 2016. It is two years younger than the Sigismund Bell from Krakow. The Germans did not manage to melt it down, it beats beautifully and has power.
Nowa Wieś is located in the Bledzew commune in the Międzyrzecki poviat on the Lubusz Land. From the 13th century until the dissolution of the order in 1835, it belonged to the Cistercians, who probably in 1300 built the first church here. This wooden temple survived until the second half of the eighteenth century, when it was pulled down and replaced with a new one in the Baroque style.
This new church, which has been preserved until today, was consecrated in 1760. From the west side there is a tower covered with a baroque helmet with a lantern. The valuable church furnishing was a bronze bell from 1523 hung in the tower, but during the last war he was deported and is now in the parish of Biederitz near Magdeburg. The Baroque altar and the pulpit from the same period have been preserved.
St. Anne's Church in Nowa Wieś is now a branch of the parish of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Sokolej Dąbrowa.
