Very nice church
Everything is nicely renovated, the workaround is nice, of course, that's a plus. As for the host of the parish, I know that he is not a nice person, which may cause some of the faithful to choose parishes at Raciborska Street. For Fr. Skórkiewicza had a nice atmosphere, a real church, incl. s.p. Marian :) and above all, over 120 altar boys now ... 1-2 drama at mass.
I remember as a teenager - the door was always open to the faithful. You could go in, pray in silence, sit and leave. Calm ... Silence ... Prayer ... That's how it was for years. At that time, I associated this parish really well. Now? The church is closed with 4 triggers, you can only enter the vestibule, where you do not feel like in the temple, but as if someone did not want to let you in. Now only before and after mass the mockery is opened. Wherever they look at you, as long as you leave sooner.
After the mass, I wanted to light a candle for the dead and pray. I could feel the eyes of the priest and the girls on me. They were literally waiting for me to leave. The girl, from what I did not want to hear, probably wanted to ask me to leave, but the priest stopped her, and believe me - I did not sit there for an hour or even half after the mass. Even better. As I headed for the exit, the candle was blown out immediately. How I was shaken ... Then what are the places for these candles if they are supposed to burn themselves a minute after mass and be blown out? They're not sandbox candles for kids, and people have a thought when they light them and that might be important to them. The girl claimed that before the next mass she would light the candles again - she did not light it ...
I am currently avoiding staying in this church. I know that for sure not all the bad guys are there, for sure not, I also have some good memories, but already those closed doors tell me not to come in. The next time to light a candle for the dead and pray, I came before mass and during the mass I had to pray in the corner that nobody would throw me away and that the candle could burn for a moment. I brought my own candles, not from the church. It was important to me. Sure, the sounds of the mass disturbed me, but what was my exit? After the mass, if I had stayed, they would only wait until I finally left ... and the candle would burn for a minute. For me, the church has never been a place only for a holy mass, but also for praying and talking to God. Here now I associate it only with noise, because when it is silent, no one is allowed in. I miss the old days, where the side door was always open to the faithful and you could pray there in peace.
I would also like to point out that the described situations with candles and doors took place some time ago. Maybe even a year or a half. It's hard for me to define now. Everything could have changed, but when it comes to praying for the dead, at this point I prefer to go further to the cemetery and pray.
I recommend attending the services held here. In these difficult times, the smile of the local parish priest is priceless. He has a great approach to people.
A parish priest who thinks he is a god himself or more ... Treating his faithful in advance and it is mainly thanks to them that this church looks like it looks and still functions ... I remember this church completely differently as a child. Unfortunately, the change of the boss had a negative impact ... What a pity.
