Very pretty chapel I suppose that many Bytom people do not know about its existence

This may not be a great tourist attraction but one of the pearls that you must not forget. Such places do not let you forget that Bytom was not so long ago a city of seven mines and two steel mills, and people came to this city for work from all over Poland.

At the Bytom train station, on platform 3, there is the Chapel of Saint Catherine, the patron saint of railroaders. Unfortunately, I did not manage to get to the story describing the history of the creation of this chapel. There are practically no railway workers in Bytom who would know the history of the uprising. The breakthrough and system changes resulted in fewer trains running through Bytom. The fall of the Polish State Railways meant that the Bytom railway station also fell into decline. And with the fall of the railway, full-time employees of the station, cash desks, railway information, toilet and railway workers disappeared. Looking at the chapel, it seems that it was built in the 20th century. Unfortunately, nobody cares about this chapel at the moment.
