Beautiful place

The church dates back to the turn of the century, built in brick in the Gothic style. The equipment of the church comes from the Baroque period, although there are Gothic, Renaissance and Neo-Gothic elements. Over the centuries, the temple was destroyed by fire and robbed of the equipment by invaders and rebuilt. The church received its current shape in the nineteenth century.

Nice nineteenth-century church. Beautiful frescoes on the ceiling (renovated) and on the walls (waiting for refreshment). An interesting fact is the cross on the altar from the Castle in Golub (i.e. from another parish, currently another diocese and sometime from another country 🙂).

I am a believer, I consider my stay obligatory. Mass was carefully celebrated, I am in church every week.

In the years 1823-1827, thanks to the material help of the owner of the nearby estate in Sokołów, Antoni Wybraniecki (1781-1834), a church was built. It was built as a building with one nave in the classical style, initially without a tower, which was added in 1886. From the 1860s, the vicar of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary lived in Dulsk (to which Dobrzyń nad Drwęca and neighboring villages belonged until 1909). In the eighties of the nineteenth century, the presbytery existing until today was built. In 1909, the Płock bishop Antoni Julian Nowowiejski (beatified by John Paul II in 1999) founded the parish, whose first priest was priest. Czesław Rogacki. In the years of his pastoral work (1909–1932) a polychrome was made in the church, the Way of the Cross stations were founded, bells were installed and a vicarage was built.
