The first source mention of the parish dates from 1376, however, it probably already existed in the times before the Teutonic Knights. She was separated from the Świerczyński parish. Parish and church from the beginning patron Saint. Valentine - a bishop and martyr, and from 1581 also Saint. Nicholas - bishop. Until 1922, the Łżyńska parish also included the Bierzgłowo parish. The current, brick church (built in the years 1896-1898 in place of an earlier, wooden one) was consecrated on September 3, 1899, and it was consecrated only after a hundred years. On July 29, 1936, a tornado destroyed the church tower and partly the roof. During the last 9 years a thorough renovation of the temple has been done - including the chancel was lined with marble, the windows were renovated, and stained glass was added to some of them. The parish was also enriched with a new bell weighing 500 kg, blessed by the Holy Father. In 1998, evangelization missions took place in the parish, a Catholic Action was established. Holy Masses ordinary days: in the summer of 18:00, in the winter of 16:00 Sunday and public holidays: 8:00 a.m., 10:00 a.m. other holidays: 10:00 pardon Saint Valentine's Day - Sunday after or before February 14
