The parish in Kalea was established by bishop Stanisław Zdzitowiecki on October 4, 1923, excluding its area from the parish of Kłobuck. The parish church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Queen of Angels, was built in the years 1924-1927 from the donations of parishioners and thanks to the efforts of the first parish priest, Fr. Stanisław Bielski. He also built a presbytery and a parish house.
The church is very nice, but unfortunately spoiled by KS. Kazimierz Z. by heating and breaking antique tiles in favor of some of the cheapest for PLN 19 per sq m. It looks horrible, as next to the classic, nice tiles, historical, anyway, there are some sort of poor sort, my heart regrets what happened to the floor in this church, especially considering that it is not warmer at all. Fortunately, Father Kazimierz is no longer in this parish and more floor will not destroy us too. All good for the parish and its current priests. I greet all parishioners and I wish you all the best.
The church from 1923, located on the border of the village of Kalej and Szarlejka, in the middle beautifully finished with a historic altar but from the outside still requires a bit of renovation. There is a beautiful presbytery next to it. A second side parking lot was recently opened for use, and a chapel was built a few years ago.
