It is located downtown at Mikołowska Street, which connects the southern districts directly with the city center. Built of brick in the neo-Gothic style. Consecrated in 1902. Stained glass in the ogival windows. The large interior has three aisles separated by pillars made of glazed and profiled bricks in several colors. Figures of saints hang on them The organs, stained glass windows, baptismal font and wooden figures of saints have been preserved from the original interior design. At the exit, there are tombstones of Silesian bishops. The atmosphere of warmth, silence and seriousness allows for silence and prayer. Noteworthy is the chapel at the entrance, where adoration of the Blessed Sacrament is held all day from Monday to Friday. In the right nave, you can commemorate the relics of St. Padre Pio and St. John Paul II. I encourage those in the vicinity to visit this temple. The property is also of historical importance. In the years 1913 to 1931 it was a garrison church. From 1925 to 1957 it served as a cathedral. After the end of the war on February 2, 1945, the official welcome of Polish troops with the participation of secular and church authorities took place here. You can park by the church. In the church square there is the grotto of Our Lady of Lourdes and Pieta. Next to it, there is a monastery building and the Discalced Carmelite Monastery. Nearby there is a square, a bus stop, a secondary school, the Youth Palace, the Academy of Physical Education, and a hospital.
