The church was built in the years 1889-1892, blessed on August 23, 1892 by Fr. Wincenty Sienkiewicz, the parish priest from Nowogród. In 1915, it was destroyed, and in 1923, the reconstruction of the church began after the destruction during the First World War. Consecrated on June 27, 1926 by the Bishop of Łomża, Romuald Jałbrzykowski.
