Beautiful orthodox church.

The church in Gródek was built in 1858. In the records preserved to this day, the theme of the Gródek parish reads: "wooden church, belfry also. Stone fence". In 1862, a cemetery church was built Humble Mother of God. In 1901, the Gródek parish became part of the newly created diocese of Grodno. In its area there were 4 parish church schools, one grammar school, "Narodnioje uczliszcze" and a female parish church school. During World War I, in 1915, most of the population was evacuated deep into Russia. After returning from exile, the parish found itself in the new conditions of the reborn Polish state. In 1943, the wooden parish church burned down. Three years later, the foundation stone was laid for the new, fifth consecutive church since the founding of the monastery. In 1970, she was solemnly ordained, in which much effort was put on by the priest - later the Metropolitan of Warsaw and all of Poland Bazyli Doroszkiewicz. In May 1960 the parish in Gródek was taken by the cousin of Metropolitan Bazyli, his co-namesur, priest. Włodzimierz Doroszkiewicz, appointed soon after the dean of Gródek. In 1979, Fr. Aleksander Wysocki, who soon refused to hold this position. Father became the pastor. Grzegorz Szyryński, also the dean of the Gródecki District.

Very nice orthodox church with rich furnishings inside. Noteworthy are polychromes and stained glass windows made by famous Polish artists Jerzy Nowosielski and Adam Stalony-Dorzański. A beautiful iconostasis.
