The Evangelical Church in Tarnowskie Góry is an impressive, historic building standing at the Market Square - it is one of the symbols of the city, when the Protestants prevailed in Tarnowskie Góry.Tarnogórska Lutheran parish dates back to the Reformation and is a living reminder of the multicultural past of the city. An interesting fact is that the parish of the Evangelical church in Tarnowskie Góry is the oldest in Upper Silesia, as it was first established after 1742, when the Prussian royal order was allowed to re-establish the Protestant churches. The evangelical church of the Savior in Tarnowskie Góry was built by the Protestant commune with the help of the Świecie Kliment Donnersmarcks in 1780. Initially, it was a baroque church designed by Christoph Worbs with a tower from 1787, it was not until 1900 that the church was expanded in the Neo-Romanesque style, when it gained its present appearance. Inside the church was embedded the epitaph of Georg von Wirsbi, made of black marble in 1672. In the Evangelical church in Tarnowskie Góry there are still Holy masses and additionally there are concerts organized under the slogan Tarnogórskie Wieczory Organowej and Kameralnej.

The church is very well maintained. What impressed me the most was that it looks inconspicuous from the outside and looks beautiful inside. And that surprised me. I like the faduch church that cultural events and musical evenings are organized there. Recently, I was there at the evenings of organ and chamber music, during which there was a painting vernissage.

Historical place located on the market square in Tarnogorski. Worth a visit. The church has recently restored the clock on the tower. In its interior often artistic events take place: exhibitions, shows, and vernissages.
