A place full of history. It is worth spending a few hours here and learning about the history of the first Piasts.

A great place, not only for history lovers. On the island, the preserved ruins of the seat of Mieszko I, originally connected with the mainland by bridges, the "Poznań" and "Gniezno" bridges, you can imagine that it was an impregnable place, the nest of the Piast dynasty. The water on the lake has dropped and you can see the remains of the eastern bridge by the shore. You can get to the island only by ferry, it runs every half hour. Visiting on Thursdays free of charge, paid parking - PLN 5

Ruins of the palas on the island, visible remains of bridges and reconstruction of a fragment of the village. It's worth it :)
