Majestatycznie

Church that its function is only a name ... from the outside like a church inside, literally nothing ... empty ... two pews and a stage ... some amateur performances are staged there ... there are probably too many churches

The Church of the Holy Spirit in Chełmno is a former hospital church, built in the years 1280-1290. It is a building in the Gothic style, a rectangular single-nave building 30 meters long, with a tower on the west side. For the first six centuries of its existence it was a church that served the residents of the adjacent hospital from the south. In 1828, with the dismantling of hospital buildings, the church of the Holy Spirit was turned into a military depot. The liturgical function was restored only after the renovation works were completed, just before the outbreak of World War II. Another thorough renovation was carried out in 1993, when a new roof was laid and the ceiling was replaced. At present, the church does not serve religious purposes, and inside there is an exhibition of knights from the Chełmno Land Banner. The decor is very modest, on the walls there are many Gothic paintings from the fourteenth and the centuries 15th century. Once a year, a mass is celebrated here on the Solemnity of Pentecost. - The Church of Holy Spirit in Chełmno is a former hospital church, built in years 1280-1290. Cool. Unfortunately, it was closed on that day when I was trying to visit.

A very nice church. It comes from the time of Władysław Łokietek. Unfortunately, you can't go inside, and the interior is probably very nice. The most beautiful church in Chełmno is outside.
