The Church of the Assumption N M P in Chełmno, colloquially called "Fara", is the most magnificent of the churches in Chełmno and undoubtedly one of the most beautiful early Gothic buildings in Poland. The temple was probably built in the years 1280-1320. First, the presbytery and the northern aisle were built. In the second phase, construction of the entire nave body and the northern tower were completed. The southern tower was left unfinished. In the following centuries, no major conversions were made that would disrupt the original Gothic character of the temple.
