One of the most interesting examples of Romanesque art in Poland. At last, you can explore the interior without any problems, because it was difficult a few years ago. You can enter the gallery, but it is rather for athletic people, because there are narrow and steep stairs leading to the top. But worth.

A fantastic place for lovers of medieval architecture. A visit to the rotunda and the adjacent church, also largely Romanesque and Gothic, is a real "spiritual feast".

It is a unique structure on a global scale, as it is the only rotunda-shaped church in the world with an added rectangular chancel. Some historians date the church to the end of the 11th century. Unfortunately, the church was partially blown up by the Germans during the Second World War. A place that every person interested in the history of Poland should visit.

Whenever a man touches such a piece of history, it leaves on him such a peculiar imprint in the depths of his being that he seems to re-appreciate his smallness in the greatness of creation and time. I recommend.

You definitely have to see, a piece of history dating back almost 1000 years back to the beginning of the Polish state, over 900 relics, original centuries-old Romanesque columns in Europe only survived in 2 places, and Polish kings sat in the rotunda. I suggest visiting with a guide in a different way, and probably not a word of advice.
