St. Nicholas in Grudziądz was originally a parish church (parish church), from 1992 it was a collegiate church, and only from 2010 it has the title of a minor basilica. The temple serves as a Marian sanctuary associated with the cult of the image of Our Lady of Graces. The origins of the temple probably date back to the 13th century. It has been destroyed many times by fires, wars, and rebuilt several times in accordance with the current architectural styles. The church in the second half of the 16th century and the Swedish Deluge was Evangelical. In 1896, a thorough renovation in the neo-Gothic spirit took place, the interior received new polychromes and stained glass. During the war in 1945, the church was completely destroyed, the upper part of the tower and the roofs collapsed, most of the decorations were burned down. In the years 1946-1949 the church was rebuilt. Renewal external and internal restoration works were carried out after 2000. - Basilica of St. Nicholas in Grudziądz was originally a parish church, from 1992 it was a collegiate church, and only from 2010 it has the title of minor basilica. A beautiful gothic building. The basilica makes a positive impression. Neat and richly decorated. Numerous sculptures and paintings.
