The Catholic parish in Wojsławice is part of the Lublin archdiocese, Chełm-deanery. It is currently composed of: Czarnołozy, Huta, Majdan, Majdan Nowy, Majdan Ostrowski, Majdan Stary, Majdanek, Kolonia Partzantów, Popławy, Rozięcin, Sarniak, Standarnia, Teresin, Wierzbica, Witoldów, Kolonia Wojsławice, Wojsławice, and Kolonia Zarowie. The parish belongs to the oldest in the former diocese of Chełm. Information about joining the village of Wojsławice to the Kumów parish by the Bishop of Chełm Jan Biskupiec comes from 1434. An independent parish was founded around 1440–1450, equipping it with land and tithing. At that time, the first wooden parish church was built. Blessed Virgin Mary and All Saints. The first priest known by name was Jan performing this function in the 1550s. In 1487, the priest of the Lublin hospital - Piotr. In 1564, the parish included Wojsławice, Czarnołozy, Krasne, Turowo, Leśniowice and Czortowiec. Unfortunately, there is no information on the history of the parish in the 16th century. Further information comes from 1603, when the parish had two priests (priest Andrzej Świątkowski, vicar Andrzej Biskup) and included the city of Wojsławice and the villages of Krasne and Nowosiełki. In 1604, Wojsławice was annexed to the Krasnystaw deanery, and in the years 1603–1608 a new stone temple was founded from Mikołaj Czyżewski's foundation, to which in 1620 Czyżewski brought the relics of St. Theodore. The presence of the relics vitally influenced the religious life of the parish, which from that moment also became a pilgrimage destination. The situation of the parish was also negatively affected by the destruction of the church by the Tatars in 1671, poor salary of priests and lack of funds to maintain the temple. At the end of 1682, priest Władysław Bazyli Czerniawski left it, as a result of which for ten consecutive years the parish in Wojsławice did not have its own priest, and for the necessary religious services the faithful probably went to church clergy. The abandoned parish was soon taken over by regular canons of St. Augustine from Krasnystaw and only around 1714, on the recommendation of Bishop Szembek, efforts began for a new priest in power in the parish. First, this function was performed by Fr. Marcin Delewicz, then (from August 1715) Andrzej Franciszek Wnuczkowski. In 1763, the Jesuits carried out folk missions in the parish aimed at confirming the faith of new believers (baptized Jews, members of the Frankist sect at that time in Wojsławice). A year later, the parish obtained the privilege of two indulgences for a period of ten years: for St. Michael and the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In 1768, also ten-year privileges were obtained for the next two indulgences (Finding and Exaltation of the Holy Cross) and the privilege of Holy Mass. for those with a plenary indulgence, every Saturday. In 1782, the parish received the perpetual privilege of indulgences for Saint. Michael and St. Of the Holy Trinity, and in 1954 the indulgence on the feast of the Immaculate Heart of the Blessed Virgin Mary. (theater source)
