On April 17, 1944, the Home Army, BCh and AL units, under the joint command of Lieutenant Witold Fałkowski, a local commander of the AK region, fought for Wojsławice. It was the most serious military action in the Chełm poviat during the occupation. After receiving information about the pacification intended by the Nazis, an ambulance of underground platoons from the town from the side of the road leading to Uchań was ordered, from where the expedition consisting of gendarmerie and SS-Galizien began in the morning with the strength of about 1500 people armed with machine guns and assisted artillery. A part of the Soviet partisan led by Major Fyodorov came to the aid of the fighting partisans. Despite the use of mortars, the enemy was forced to retreat. Despite the enemy's nearly four-fold advantage, the partisans managed to repel the attack and saved Wojsławice from pacification, losing 10 people. However, the colony was destroyed - today called: Partisan Colony.
