To commemorate the regaining of independence by Poland, at the command of Count Józef Bartłomiej Rzewuski, the cross was originally set on oak. Thanks to the efforts of the originator and contractor Grzegorz Wójtowicz, the cross was restored in stone in May after the renovation. Stanisław Sikora, Bogdan Dumała, Łukasz Słowik, Adam Kiełczewski, Sławomir Mormol and Wacław Daniel cooperated with the restoration of the cross.
