A place commemorating a very interesting story from September 1939, few people heard about it and even fewer were in this place. At the beginning of September 1939, after the German invasion of Poland, the staff of the Wawel Museum decided to take museum exhibits, including safes, into a place more secure than Wawel, all means of transport were already requisitioned only a wooden lollar was free on the Vistula, over 100 chests were packed and the Vistula set out to look for a safe place , after a few days, they were brought to Kazimierz and the treasures were moved ashore. Then he set off a convoy through Zamość, Hrubieszów to Kut in the east, but on September 18 it was decided that the treasures must leave Poland.
